Menuki Cuff Buttons
Bronze and gold Cuff buttons made with a pair of Menuki sword ornamentation, mounted on silver.
Menuki come in pair and are the ornaments that are found under the handle wrap of a Japanese sword (katana). They usually define the character of the sword and can tie the owner to the sword. This pair of menuki represent two Chinese poets often se portrayed together, Kanzan and Jittoku and associated with Zen Buddhism.
